The Energomera TsE6803V meter is a three-phase device for measuring consumed electricity, used in the private sector, industrial production or for installation in public premises.

The device has the following features:

  • possibility of operation under conditions of protection from unfavorable environments at air temperatures from -40 to +60°C;
  • function of connecting to third-party devices via the provided input;
  • the presence of two indicators signaling the connection to the network and the intensity of electricity consumption;

The TsE6803V meter, in terms of the type of metering of consumed electricity, has no fundamental differences from devices of a similar class. At the same time, there are a number of functional features.

The device is intended exclusively for single-tariff electricity calculations.

The counting device itself is available in two versions:

  2. Electromechanical.

It has non-volatile and long-term memory, which makes it possible to check the device’s readings even if there is no electricity.

In this meter, the incoming voltage and current are multiplied and converted into pulses. The pulse frequency corresponds to the power consumption. Pulse counting is performed in different ways, depending on the design of the device:

  • Electromechanics.

Current readings are displayed on an electric display or visible in a special viewing window.

There are also design features: it is possible to connect various testing devices directly through the terminal box contacts. It is impossible to confuse them, since the manufacturer has pre-provided special terminals for connection.

We have already said that this model is equipped with long-term memory in case of lack of external power supply. In addition to the latest device readings, you can see the current date and time, as well as the tariff.

The counter status is visible visually. For this purpose, two LED indicators are displayed on the front panel.

When the device is connected, the “Network” LED indicator lights up.

As soon as a load appears in the network, the LED pulse counting indicator “3200 imp/(kW-h)” flashes and starts blinking. It is from this moment that the readings of electricity consumption begin.

Calibration interval

Like any measuring device, the electricity meter needs periodic verification in specialized workshops.

The verification periods are indicated in the meter passport.

As a rule, for all meters of the TsE6803 series, the calibration interval is 16 years from the date of its factory calibration.

Such a fairly long period allows the owner not to waste time on the annual calibration of the device that records electricity.

Possible malfunctions and their elimination

Of course, like any high-precision equipment, the TsE6803V meter can fail. The main causes of the malfunction are lack of indication or stoppage of the counting mechanism.

The “Network” indicator does not light up

The most common cause of such a malfunction lies in poor contact of the supply wires.

The device must be turned off from the power supply and all clamps must be tightened additionally. After this, you can turn on the counter again and check its operation.

If after this the “Network” indicator does not light up, the device must be dismantled and sent to a service center.

How to take readings

To correctly account for electricity, you need to take into account the technical characteristics of the meter.

Devices that were produced from 1997 to 1999. - old model and six digits are visible on the display in a special window.

The latest models already have seven-digit displays.

The last digit is usually separated by a comma and is not taken into account in the device’s readings.

Energy consumption is constantly metered, and payment is made once a month. Payment is based on the energy consumed in sq./hours multiplied by the current tariff in the given area.

How to take readings

It won’t be difficult to figure out the order in which readings are taken. To do this, write out the integer value located before the decimal point (yellow rectangle), then from the number on the display we subtract the number a month ago (sometimes it is written in the receipt of the last payment) and multiply by the price for 1 kW.

Meter installation

For TsE6803V devices, installation occurs in the same way as with other utility metering devices.

But it wouldn’t hurt to check the device for various types of damage and the integrity of the seals.

The device registration procedure remains unchanged. The owner of the building or tenant of the premises is required to enter into an agreement with the electricity supplier. Upon conclusion of such an agreement, a bank account number will be issued for payment.

After this, the consumer will have in his hands the technical documentation approved by the provider. The documents must separately state:

  1. Counter type.
  2. Model of circuit breaker.
  3. Wire sections.
  4. Mounting type (shield or DIN rail).

The actual installation of the meter and its connection to the network is carried out by an electrician from the electricity supplier.

It would be a good idea to check the quality of the work. At the very least, the job should be done neatly without any insulation ends protruding from the terminal block.

Upon completion of installation work, the device is sealed, which is reflected in the acceptance certificate. The act itself is signed by two parties - the consumer and the energy sales representative.
