Electric meter TsE6807P - single-phase (technical characteristics)

Devices of this series are used to meter consumed electricity. Currently, the TsE 6807 meter is not produced. Instead, manufacturers offer modern models with improved consumer characteristics. However, the information below will be useful for solving practical problems during operation.

The compact energy meter TsE6807p has good consumer characteristics

Description of the counter

This device performs its main functions using a shunt. High accuracy is ensured by calibration of the corresponding electrical resistance (up to hundredths of an Ohm). The voltage is constantly monitored using an inductive sensor. Using an electronic board, the received data is processed and time intervals are taken into account. The amount of energy consumed (formula E=U*I*t) is displayed using mechanical (electronic) indicators.

Electric meter device

For your information. In the model shown in the photo, the components of the mechanical indicator are rotated by a stepper motor.

The signals to control the drive are generated by the controller. At the same time, pulses are sent to the verification LED. According to the standard control procedure during testing, the number of flashes over a standardized time interval is counted. In some modifications, optical isolation is installed to transmit readings to a remote telemetry system. To maintain a certain frequency (accurate fixation of time intervals), a standard quartz stabilizer circuit is used.

Design features

The Energomera electric meter does not differ much in operating principle from other models of this type. But there are technical characteristics that distinguish the TsE6803V from its peers.

How is electricity data metered and displayed? The voltage and input current data are multiplied and formed into pulses. The frequency of the pulse signals will be commensurate with the input power. In this case, the summation of pulses is generated either by a microprocessor or an electromechanical counter. This is exactly what the accounting of active electrical energy shows. These indicators are displayed on the screen of the TsE6803V product.

The TsE6803V meter has certain differences in design. For example, this is the ability to connect to test devices via a terminal box. For this purpose, separate terminals are inserted deliberately. Their designation depends on the model of the device. In addition, the TsE6803V counter has non-volatile memory, which is very convenient. For example, in the event of a power outage, the device display will show the latest data, as well as the date, time and tariff.

There are 2 indicators on the front of the device. When the product is connected to the electrical network, voltage is transmitted to it and the “Network” indicator lights up. When a load appears in the network, the load indicator begins to flash and the readings begin to count.

If the “Network” indicator is not working, you need to understand the cause of the failure. This may be due to poor contact of the wires to the terminals or the indicator itself is broken. If the Energomera meter fails, it is better to send it to a service center for repair.

Taking readings

In order to obtain data on electricity consumption from the TsE6807P meter, you need to use the general rules; there are no problems for a single-tariff meter. On this counter, the numbers are divided into 2 groups - left and right sides, which are separated by a comma. We rewrite all the numbers in the left group up to the decimal point - this is an integer number of kilowatts. After the decimal point, a fraction of a kilowatt. The counter has a digit capacity of 6. We take into account 5 digits from left to right.

Types of electricity meters

All existing models of energy meters are divided into 3 main categories: single-phase, two-tariff and three-phase devices. The first type is installed in residential premises (apartments or private houses). The three-phase energy meter is designed for enterprises with transformer connection or for systems with high power. For domestic purposes, a three-phase energy meter is used extremely rarely, only when it comes to large apartments.

The number of phases is not the only criterion by which meters differ from each other. Electrical appliances are divided into 2 more types:

  • Induction energy meters are not in wide demand today. The device is considered disadvantageous because it has low sensitivity. Under the influence of external stimuli, it distorts readings. The device complicates the operation of the automated data recording system. Therefore, meters are replaced with other, more modern and mobile devices.
  • Electronic devices, on the contrary, are popular and in demand among the population. Several types of electric meters are available: with mechanical numbers and with an electronic display. Each energy meter has a personal technical passport. All devices are certified.

The meters are installed in special boxes. For each model of electrical appliance, a certain type of box is used.

Three-phase and single-phase devices are placed in plastic and metal structures. The cost of a mounted outdoor fixture depends on the material it is made of, as well as on its functionality.

Rules for choosing a household appliance

Residential premises are equipped with single-phase energy meters. When choosing such a counter, the following nuances are taken into account:

  • Counter interface. Modern technical capabilities make it possible to combine all registered household appliances into a single system. It is recommended to choose meters with a liquid crystal screen. Devices with such a display are famous for their durability.
  • Single tariff or two tariff. Each type of meter has its own positive qualities. So single-tariff devices have a long service life. They have high accuracy. A two-tariff device is more profitable from a financial point of view. Its internal system evens out and regulates energy consumption peaks among itself. At night, electricity costs less than during the day. Multi-tariff meters encourage residential property owners to use electricity in the evening and at night, reducing daytime light consumption.
  • Manufacturer and model of the device. The purchase of a new electric meter is carried out jointly with the energy sales company. The institution’s staff will tell you which meters can be installed in a particular area. Representatives of government agencies always recommend high-quality models of devices. Most of them are available from the energy supply company. The company sells energy meters on favorable terms. You can get a list of all devices acceptable for installation on the official website of the sales organization. From this list, a citizen has the right to choose any electric meter model he likes.
  • The range of energy sales enterprises includes devices manufactured by ABB, INCOTEX, Taypit and LEMZ. If the meter breaks down, the company will refund the money or replace it with a new one. If the LEMZ energy meter breaks down, they contact the manufacturer directly for a warranty. The main advice from the sales organization is that you should not purchase a device that is too cheap.
  • Rated current of the meter. Depends on the maximum current consumption in the apartment. Most modern appliances are designed for power less than 15 kW. Electricity consumption is no more than 60A. It is easy to determine the value of the maximum current supplied to the apartment. Just look at the data from the introductory machine.

If the supplied power is more than 15 kW, you need to purchase another meter with an energy consumption of 100 A. It is not worth buying a device with a so-called reserve. There may be problems with the electrical company. The company will be forced to install a new meter that complies with the established rules. Considering these tips, many choose the CE-101 energy meter.

Energy meter SE-101

The CE-101 device is a single-rate, induction design used for domestic purposes. You can connect an energy meter both in an apartment and in an office, private house, store and other residential premises. The devices have a modern and pleasant design. The body is made of plastic.

The counter consists of the following elements:

  • Telemetric output.
  • Current sensors. Shunts or transformers can be used.
  • Measuring module with printed circuit board.
  • Special clamps that allow you to connect the device to the network.

The advantages of the electric meter are a long service life (up to 5 years), good build quality, reasonable cost (up to 1 thousand rubles), convenient installation and further comfortable use. The device is designed for a maximum current consumption of 60 A. The main disadvantage is the inability to install the meter on the street. The device must be located within an apartment or private house. Outside the living area, in bad weather conditions such as snow or rain, the energy meter will not work. It is permissible to install the device in an unheated building.

The CE-101 electric meter is included in the State Register of Measuring Instruments of the Russian Federation. Therefore, installation and use of the device is carried out legally.

Along with the device, the buyer receives a receipt for the purchase of the goods, a form for the meter and an instruction manual. The form is issued instead of a passport. It contains basic information about the design. When purchasing a device, you should check that the serial number on the form is identical to the number on the meter panel. If these data completely coincide, you can safely buy the energy meter.

The instruction manual reveals other parameters of the device, the connection diagram of the energy meter, and methods of its installation. The purchase receipt must also be kept. If faults or breakdowns are identified, the product can be returned to the store using the receipt.

Connecting the meter

Measuring instruments of this category are installed in series with electricity consumers. Typical algorithm of actions:

  • after removal from the factory packaging, check the integrity of the case and installed seals;
  • the connection is made according to the diagram from the official instructions (conductor cores - from 1 to 6 mm);
  • to connect telemetry equipment, take into account the nominal/maximum parameters of current (10/30 mA) and voltage (12/24V);
  • the transition to the operating mode is accompanied by a change in data on the digital display (LED blinking).

For your information. The initial readings are the result of factory verification.

To preserve the planned resource, favorable regimes should be provided:

  • transportation – temperature from -40°C to +70°C, relative humidity – no more than 98% at +35°C;
  • storage – in a heated room (from +5°C to +40°C), relative humidity – no more than 80% at +25°C.

Principle of operation

The operating principle is based on multiplying voltage and current and turning them into pulses. The frequency of pulse shocks will depend on the amount of power at the input. These pulses are then summed up by an electromechanical counting device or controller and converted into kilowatt-hours, which are displayed on the screen. The device can be connected via a terminal box. For this purpose, specially created terminals are pre-inserted, the designation of which depends on the model of the mechanism.

The device is equipped with built-in memory, which makes its use very convenient. In addition, this design makes it possible to connect to the ASTUE or ASKUE system.

There are also two LEDs installed on the front panel of the electric meter. When the device is connected to the electrical network, voltage is supplied and the indicator lights up. Then, after connecting the load to the mains, the LED begins to flicker, and the mechanism begins to account for the energy consumed.

If the performance indicator does not work, you should find out the cause of the failure. One of the reasons may be a poor-quality connection between the wires and terminals. If the device still does not respond to the power supply, it must be returned to the store where it was purchased.

Energy Saving Tips

To distort the measurement results downward, use:

  • installation of bypass circuits;
  • design changes;
  • strong permanent magnets.

These and other illegal actions are detected during regular and prompt inspections. Violators are punished with large fines and disconnected from power supply networks. To avoid such troubles, it is recommended to use the permitted methods of saving:

  • replacing outdated incandescent lamps with LEDs;
  • energy efficient heating and air conditioning systems;
  • modern technology with high efficiency parameters.

Good results can be achieved through comprehensive measures. In addition to the appropriate equipment, the “multi-tariff” connection should be used correctly. The operation of individual consumers is configured for temporary periods (night, weekends) with a minimum cost of electricity. Unfortunately, the TsE6807bk meter is not suitable for implementing such projects.

Indication

Of course, like any other modern meters, Energomera 101 is equipped with an indication. This is also why they have earned good consumer reviews. After all, using the device with LEDs indicating its current state is much more convenient.

The S6 and S10 counters have two indicators, while the R5 model has one. Devices supplied in S6 and S10 housings have three types of notification:

  • “Network” LED, indicating whether voltage is supplied to the device or not;
  • “Robar”, which turns on when the power is reversed and there is no load;
  • “3200 imp/(kW•h)” - constantly lights up when there is no load and periodically goes out when there is load.

R5 models provide an indication of the form “3200 imp/(kW•h)”.
