I took photographs for a long time from different sides trying to show how it shines. In the end, this is what happened: the lights in the hall were turned off, the flash was turned off.

It shines decently, in my opinion it is very bright, it will be necessary to turn it down a little. In general, the consumption is 4 watts per headlight or a total of 8 watts for both. Inside there are 4 ultra-bright LEDs of 3 watts each. But they get very hot.

These are radiators with hot-melt adhesive on the surface, so as not to have to worry about the LED mounting bolts, torn from a dead switch. These are the diodes:

They are pure 3 watts, they shine white with blue. There are also the same ones for 10 watts. They shine with a yellowish tint, but they get terribly hot and their brightness is simply crazy.

Everything is filled with superglue so that it doesn’t fall off and water doesn’t get in.

Then I started working on the brake lights. I thought I’d quickly plug them in and think about the front end, but it turned out to be quite a long time. Gone all evening. A total of 76 pieces of red super-bright LEDs were used. At first I thought “why are there so many of them?” then I turned it on and realized “just right.” Separately, small diodes burn well, but in comparison with the head ones, they are just candles...

Further plans include making a servo from the steering gear and proportional steering control. Also a pseudo differential for the running engines, since when turning they howl strongly from an uneven load, along the way everything will be immediately converted to 24 V. Since the running motors are controlled by PWM, there will be no problem limiting the voltage and current on them, at the same time increasing the vehicle's top speed. Plus there is also a bag with super-bright red diodes for installation on the back; at the moment there is not a single lamp on the back. There is also a full-fledged MP3 player with a class T amplifier, but there are no speakers for it; they never arrived from China. I think 2-3 cotton wool per channel will be enough. In general, there is enough work, a lot of plans.

Common problems

First, you should familiarize yourself with common problems in order to respond to a malfunction in a timely manner and decide on the course of action. You will have to engage in diagnostics and repairs if:

  • The engine will not start.
  • The battery is not charging.
  • The electric car does not respond to signals from the remote control.
  • The machine does not move when the engine is running.
  • There is no sound.

These are the most common problems that can arise in children's transport.

Where can I get spare parts?

The answer will be obvious, but you never know, just in case, let’s focus our attention once again. All spare parts for a children's electric car should be purchased from certified dealerships of a particular brand. The low price of a second-hand control unit is unlikely to serve for a long period. The exception is if you are a skilled and detail-oriented person.

What causes trouble most often:

  • Control block. We recommend buying it assembled and repairing it only in cases of full competence.
  • Chassis. There is a lot of room for creativity here, since most often, children's electric cars are poorly equipped properly.
  • Electronics problems. A diagram that was not thrown away during unpacking or downloaded on the Internet will help (qualification is required).

Poor plastic gears are another Achilles heel. As a rule, broken teeth begin to jam the wheels and make an unpleasant, characteristic sound. There are no interpretations for this on the diagrams for children's electric vehicles. We recommend taking a new one assembled.

The engine won't start

The electric motor installed in a children's car may fail. But don’t immediately think about a major breakdown. To get started, you need to do the following:

  • Check if the charger is disconnected from the machine. The electric car does not turn on when it is charging.
  • Make sure the battery is charged. If there is no charge, you need to connect the charger for 7-9 hours. You can check the performance of the motor and do a test run a couple of hours after charging starts.
  • Check the condition of the terminals, connectors, wires. There may be no connection at the start button, battery, or control unit.

If these measures do not provide a positive result, the electric car will not start, and the engine will have to be repaired or replaced. The axle is currently secured with nylon ties; later I will buy some car clamps and tighten them with them. There will be a lot of shock absorbers for 10 kg, I will select according to the weight of the child, there are 5 kg pairs in stock, if there are not enough, then in the store for 7 kg.

The engines themselves, according to the sticker that is glued to them, are 30 watts 9000 rpm. On Chinese sites they write that these same engines can withstand 24 V at already 18,000 rpm. It's hard to believe. But two such engines confidently drag the car and the driver at a 30-45 degree slope with almost no loss of speed. And the LEDs are powered by a reduced voltage, they give out 2 watts each instead of the declared 3, so they hardly heat up and there are enough of these radiators, each pair has a dc\dc converter unit, you can always adjust it.

3 more “handles” for the steering rods and I found another interesting thing, a thin-walled aluminum square, used for making mosquito nets for plastic windows. The price is 40 rubles per meter, I took a 3-meter stick for all sorts of reinforcements and supports. It will also be used for body frames. In general, it’s a convenient and cheap thing, I think I’ll have to buy more. I'm looking for a small-sized ball joint for the front and a way to drill a straight hole into the end of the rod on which the wheel is held, in order to deeply seat the shock absorber rod there - they are very long and thin. No charging

The movement of the electric vehicle is provided by the engine. But it needs power, which is supplied by the battery. battery. To charge this unit, the machine is equipped with a special device. The battery has a certain resource. But it may fail ahead of schedule if:

  • operating rules are violated;
  • the body is damaged;
  • Third party devices are used for charging.

The condition of the battery must be monitored closely to reduce the risk of problems. The main condition is timely charging. It should be carried out after each trip or when the speed decreases or when moving in jerks. Do not allow the device to completely discharge.
